Waste-to-energy plant Giubiasco
The cantonal waste-to-energy plant in Giubiasco has revolutionized waste management throughout the entire Ticino area, making the transport of 140,000 tons of wastes through the St. Gotthard Pass and Railway unnecessary. An ecological boon that, moreover, is used for electricity generation and district heating. The imposing facility required particular attention in installation of the internal freight and service elevators.
