The charm of glass in the service of vertical transport
Installing a lift within a building often requires a delicate balance between functional requirements and respect for the existing architecture.
In this project, the panoramic glass lift shaft blends naturally into the stairwell, becoming part of the environment rather than merely a technical element.
The large transparent surfaces allow light to flow through the space and preserve the perception of the atrium’s proportions and depth.
The structure, characterised by clean lines and refined finishes, harmonises beautifully with the stone of the stairs, the iron railings and the neutral tones of the walls, creating an elegant and contemporary whole.
